Thxn Nikki! just shared it out on fb.

That is great news on the national level about ALS research and I just thought that I would add here in Bellingham, Wash, a city of around 80,000, that $46,000 was raised during the "Walk" a few weeks ago which, if you extrapolate that amount to each city of this size would be a very sizeable amount and I would assume that the monies would be going to a wide variety of local uses besides research.

Music I believe money raised by the chapters has a certain amount sent to National and then they use the rest as they see fit

The denver walk hit a record with over $400,000 donated. The Fort Collins walk also hit a record with over $100,000 donated. Both were great walks.

Nikki J - You are correct on the distribution of local funds. When I said "research " that was my ackward way of mentioning the national involvement. I can't imagine any research happening on a local level.

By the way the $46,000 raised here in B'ham was over twice what was raised a year ago!
