Elongated seat commode

We purchased a portable commode — it has a round bowl and seat. It's like sitting on a paper cup. It's awful to try to clean yourself through that small, round seat hole.

Are there any good ones made with elongated seats?

We have the shower/tub buddy commode and it has a nice long seat, which is good, as my husband has really long legs, and a fairly slumped posture. It tilts in space so that he can lay back while being showered, and works well over the toilet. You can get it for a very reasonable price through wal mart on line. We have had 3 different commodes and we are really pleased with this one.

we bought one with an elongated seat too from Walgreens on line. it doesn't tilt, but has a cushioned seat and back rest and that was important to my husband.

hate those round ones!

The RAZ tilting shower/commode chair also has a good elongated seat. Expensive, but we forced the insurer to pay, and we could not live without it.
