Just wondering if there is anything new on the Baclofen Pump? My son has an appointment to talk to specialist. Anyone have any experience w/ one good or bad.

Hi. Good to See on here again. I asked the same question for your son on here. Look on my page for the rrsponse I got from Peter.

Thanks just wondered if there was any new info out there on it. It just doesn't seem worht the risk to me.

Check out the patients like me site for info about the Baclofen pump. My friend is there and willing to share how it has worked for her spinal cord injury.

My boyfriend had it installed 2 months ago. We were hoping it would eliminate the side effects from taking so many baclofan pills and so far can' see that it does The one thing we've noticed is he sleeps much better at night and he isn't falling asleep from the baclofan during the day. His walking hasn't improved and we had high hopes he'd be able to get rid of the wheelchair and start using his cane and walker more. Didn't happen. Jury is still out on if it is helping him. The worst part was the hospital stay. He was suppose to stay for 3-4 night but he made me break him out of there after the 2nd night. Way too depressing. Best of luck.

Thanks Tande looks like we are going for it the meds are really starting to get to him he is also hoping it will help him walk better.
