Benecalorie - how to get it?

Hi All,

I know that many American pALS use Benecalorie (by Nestle) to boost calorie intake. I am finding it impossible to purchase this product in the UK, and going down the prescription route we are offered some other product (Procal?)which contains 1/3 of calories as the same amount of Benecalorie.

Is this really easy to buy in the States? Is it expensive? I feel it is something one could buy in a health store, but not here!

Laurence is loosing weight and we have tried various supplementary drinks like Ensure but this stuff makes him sick (regardless if it is taken via mouth or PEG). He just wants ordinary food boosted with some calories.

Any advice?

Benecalorie is available through different sources in the states, but I don't know if there would be any overseas shipping restrictions.

It's readily available on Amazon so there shouldn't be much of a "shipping overseas" issue

Thanks I tried Amazon as it popped up via google search, however, there's a note saying 'out of stock'. I've tried Ebay too...will contact Nestle directly. Dani

We used it in the nursing center I worked in and it keeps on weight very well. It's worth all the trouble
