My dad has ALS and is on a vent with very little strength in his hands (still some in his arms though) and I've noticed his fingernails have taken on a yellowish tinge and are cloudy looking (versus my clear nails with pink skin underneath). He is on isosource 1.5 enteral feeding. I was wondering if this is related to little oxygen getting to his finger (which I would doubt as he wears an oxygen saturation monitor on his finger which picks up O2 conc.) or due to his consistent diet or something else.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks
