Hi everybody,
My husband,38 years old, diagnosed with ALS last July. It started with slurry speech in December ( 2009). He can still walk without a cane . His speech is worse than before, I sometimes ask him to repeat. Weakness has started in his left arm and foot. He has balance problems. His last FVC is 80%. We will check for it on 7 October again.

Actually our neurologist in Turkey said that the probability of being ALS is %50 we will wait and follow.
Now we are having Rocephin injection in order to eleminate the possiblity of LYME. I am so sad for him for my children ( two daughters 11 - 4 years old).

In Turkiye doctors dont put the patients in to different ALS groups. not PLS or MND . I wonder how can we decide whether Als or Pls what are the differences between them
We think that after he started to use rilutek the progress of symptoms has increased .

What do you think about Rilutek?

Sorry for my English.
Thank you
god bless all of you, best wishes from Türkiye
