concerned about my brother's thyroid surgery

as I mentioned in another thread, my brother is supposed to have thyroid surgery in a
few weeks. I'll wait to move him until afterward.

What I'm concerned about is, how will he BE after the thyroid surgery. As it is now, he
is bedridden or in a wheelchair in the nursing home, and about moving him. Also, if we wait until he is here, it might take longer to get it set up to get the surgery here.

Sorry I missed the reason for the surgery. He will be on thyroid medication for the rest of his life and it could take years to get the doseage right. It took me almost 3 years before I felt normal. I hope his doctor is more agressive with medication than mine was.

He had a questionable biopsy a few months ago that the doctor thinks is cancer.

I don't know how aggressive they will be in treating him afterward, as he's having it done at a county hospital and then going back to the nursing home. They don't seem very
attentive there.

I want to get him out of there 2 weeks after the surgery.
