Default Help!

Does anyone have any recommendations of who to inquire about hiring help with taking care of an ALS patient? I am an only child and i NEED HELP! My mom and dad are divorced and I am my mom's only immediate family!

Kelly... are you in touch with the ALS Association and the MDA? They are great resources and if they don't have the help you need, can direct you the right direction. Both have great websites. You're not alone, hon, it just feels that way sometime. There is help out there.

Does your mom go to an ALS Clinic? If so, the nurse should be able to recommend a service to hire.

Also, you can go to a website called "A Place for Mom" and enter South Carolina and do a detailed search by city and type of care, including home care. I used this before when I was trying to find a place for my mom several years ago. Maybe it would be a good resource for you.
