It appears to be free and that it will stay on your computer. You can type in words - whole sentences and it speaks your words clearly. In my immaturity it was fun to make it swear too. It may be helpful in some cases. See what you think. Best Wishes, Peg

FYI- It's only a free 15 day trial, then $9.95/month.
Microsoft has TTS built in, albeit the voice isn't that nice, but it works and is free. I use it all the time to communicate with my husband when we are in the office using our computers.

If you cant talk and want a real voice then try E-triloquist.

It is free and works well but needs a better voice. Any SAPI compatible voice will work.

Or get NextUp talker which costs about $100 but comes with one good male and female voice.
