Default A work trip combined with a mini vacation

I was in California for the week. I had to go for a work meeting. I flew from Burbank and met my best friend in San Francisco for a three day mini trip. It was a great trip.

We visited Muir Woods, Alcatraz, took a catamaran trip around the bay, visited the wharf, and rented a car to drive highway 1 up to Carmel. Took the 17 mile route.

The entire time were there it rained. One of the the things I have learned the past year is that you can't wait for the storm to pass...you have to learn to dance in the rain.

I texted Steve at every stop and shared my pics. He know how much I love the outdoors and taking awesome pics. It made him very happy to see my pictures and to know that 8 can still find some joy.

Mike took great care of him and I brought back gifts from Pebble beach for the both of them.

Attached a few of the pics. The tree has a very big space in my heart. To me it reminds me of all the PALS. Staying strong in the face of storms and great waves. Hope you all enjoy.

thanks for sharing!

the flipping is an iPad thing - they are actually flipped but because the screen rotates it seems like they are not. I got to exercise my neck twisting to look at them all

Love the tree, and that you shared it all with Steve - technology is really a wonderful thing!

What a perfect trip, and the pictures are beautiful! Thank you so much for posting them. You are so right about dancing in the rain...

I'm so glad that you were able to do this AND share it with Steve the way you did.
