Thanks for providing an opportunity for us to spread the word about our organization, the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc., and an upcoming event. We are a New England based non-profit dedicated to raising funds for research and patient programs for PALS. The annual signature event of the Foundation is the “Cliff Walk®” for A.L.S. Fundraiser, a 7-Mile walk along the Cape Cod Canal in Buzzards Bay. The 11th Annual “Cliff Walk®” for A.L.S. Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2007 (rain or shine).
After the Walk, we have a fun-filled day of activities for the whole family; we always have a great band, and everyone is provided with a BBQ lunch. Festivities of the day are also open to the public (non-walkers/non-volunteers for a $10 per person donation which includes lunch).
Proceeds from the Walk are used to fund the research efforts of Dr. Robert Brown at Mass General Hospital and the
ALS-Therapy Development Institute in Cambridge. We also provide financial support to Compassionate Care
ALS in Falmouth and to March of Faces.
Our Foundation also has several In-House Patient Programs that we fund with event proceeds.
