This forum has been wonderfully comforting and supportive thus far. My last thread posting was rather long, so I wanted to post a less narrative version in the hopes that others might be able to offer a fresh perspective.

-Started noticing muscle jerks (not fasiculations), blurred vision, and lump in throat about a year ago.
-Soon after started noticing that I would sometimes choke on my saliva, and also had abnormal urge to cry for no reason.
-Had MRI done which showed 3 brain lesions.
-Now (1 year from symptom onset) experiencing weakness in left leg (feels like a stiff piece of rubber), and muscle fasciculations (not jerks) ALL over (including around face, mouth, and tongue).

My questions are:

-Can ALS cause lesions on the brain?
-Can others share with me their experiences of limb onset? Does my experience sound similar?

ANY input is very much appreciated! I am really scared.

I have never head of ALS causing lesions and I don't think it is possible. As far as experience with limb onset, you notice weakness before anything else. Fasciculations don't mean anything. Try to relax and most of your symptoms might just disappear.
