I meant no disrespect to you for your abilities or any disabilities buschclub. We have had a few people post here with No issues other than lazyness that write whole pages with no breaks. A lot of people with ALS as you will find out if you stay around long enough have eye trouble. Blurred vision, double vision, watery eyes, dry eyes. I'm sorry but a post like yours is hard for some of us to read. You are new, you said nothing about a problem. How was I supposed to know? I asked you to help the members out by using a few spaces and periods. I certainly wasn't trying to dump on you. Sorry you felt that way.

AL.

Hi Buschclub and welcome to the forum. (I'm glad we cleared up that little misunderstanding.) Write and tell us more about your diagnosis when you feel up to it. Cindy

Buschclub,

Sorry to here about that possible dx. I am looking to go to hopkins for an opinion.
How was dr rothmann emg? Did he do many muscles and many stick each muscle in more than one spot?
Did he do all 4 limbs, paraspinals, and bubular area (tongue ect.,).

Hello again i have not posted in some time do to the quest for a final diagnosis. The final diagnosis is slow limb onset als. I just took a pulmanary funtion test which was not very good. maximal expertory pressure was 29% of normal the maximal inspitory pressure was 79%. My diagnosis has been a tough one in the sense i have many atypical symptoms of als like vascular dementia, neurogenic bladder and mild to moderate pain. emgs and there have been many are not perfect for als but suggestive of als. neurological exam show diffuse atrophy entire body which started in my left hand and then spread sporadic fasciculations, hyperactive reflexes with clonus hoffmans sign postive.I have dysphasia but can still walk. what the doctors at hopkins and mayo say is that i have a rare slow form and some atypical features but all other mimics have been ruled out and progression has been slow but steady. just wondering any one out there diagnosed with als in there twenties with the sporadic form. also any info from fellow amyotrophics would be great. ps. i hope every one got a chance to read lou gerhigs letters they just released they really touched me.
thanks
