Thank you all for your time. After 8 months I went to a neurologist for muscle twitching. The neurologist told me to not even think about als after my reflexes and strength tests he said were great. But to solidify he’s diagnosis of benign fasciculations he sent me for a ncv and emg. After my emg emg I asked the neuromuscular specialist if it was als I figured waiting a week for my results was too long. She said no. I had my follow up and the neuro said benign fasciculations.
The emg was done on my left arm and right leg. Is that sufficient enough to rule out als?
My only question is the impression on the emg report states:
1. Mild bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome.
2. Rare fasciculations seen in a few muscles tested. This is a benign finding.
3. No definite evidence of myopathy or peripheral polyneuropathy.
I attached a picture of my ncv findings as well. I just am praying that the doctor is not trying to spare my feelings.
Again thank you for your time.
