Strange symptom - early sign of weakness?

Would it make sense that the very first, very early symptom is the pinky going “limp”; can still perform what you ask it to when you conscuously ask it to, but when not thinking about it, it follows along but looks and feels unenaged with seemingly less muscle contraction? Also, it can sometimes end up in off positions like on top of the ring finger when at rest?

Could this be a symptom of something else?

Your best bet is to get an assessment by a doctor or physiotherapist so they can see what you are talking about.
 
This sounds like more of a joint or tendon issue to me.
