I had a needle emg Tuesday,I don't have full results yet,but Dr did say he ruled out als and mnd. My question is,is it possible for als to be ruled out with just needle emg and not ncs? Thank you in advance for any input,it's greatly appreciated.

Yes the needle emg is what matters for ALS. The NCS would look for other types of issues. Good luck in finding out your problem and congratulations it is not ALS
