Default Re: Should I be concerned?

I;m no emg specialist so I can't comment on that, but based on your neuro exam there are no signs of ALS. Understand that fasiculations that are not visible during the exam almost always mean benign, and not suspicious of ALS. Also true atrophy is undeniably visible in exam-- I privately think of my hands as "aushwitz hands". They look terrifyingly shrunken. If you had atrophy your neuros would know. When I was first diagnosed I did not even think I had atrophy until the neuro pointed it out (this was before it got so bad as it is now). I did not have to show things to them, they were showing things to me. Please trust your doctors and put this behind you.
