Hey, just wondering about how ALS progresses in the early stages?
Is muscle atrophy from ALS noticeable after a week? Like losing 5kgs in two weeks? Would that be consistent with ALS or? Also, does early ALS cause any erectile dysfunction? Also, does muscle weakness come and go in the early stages? And does stiffness and tiredness in legs have anything to do with ALS? Does ALS cause sleeping problems early on?

Many thanks in advance for your time!

Here it is...

No, no, no, no, no, no and no.

Here's a hard answer concerning ED... try Viagra.

PS. If you try Viagra be careful. Rush Limbaugh (a famous extreme conservative radio host here) nearly went deaf from over dosing Viagra. I heard he wore out two blow up dolls.

Mods... edit if you wish. :)

Nothing you posted is ALS. Time to move on.

Al, the thought of doing Rush Limbaugh brought back my gag reflex.

Kim, I'm now suffering from mood swings. The new meds help but this Thread got to me.

I'll go back to my burrow. :)

Thanks for the replies guys, so you don’t think that losing muscle mass quickly in the lower neck like over a couple of days is ALS? And losing arm muscle quickly?

No my friend what they are saying is go away.

Nerdyboy-

Time to visit with a doctor about your symptoms. Not because I think you have ALS, but because you have asked here, been answered, and continue to come back to ask again. The people here do not think you have ALS. You don't belong here (this is good).

Do not post here again unless you have seen a doctor and actually have something to report. Continued posting without seeing a doctor will result in a ban. This is not a general health forum and its purpose is to support people with ALS and their caregivers. You have got your answers and do not need to be here any longer.
