All, I have been reading many threads while going through some things of my own, I have read your messages & feel that I have a valid question and would appreciate your help. I had an EMG a month ago and was cleared by a NM specialist, no sign of any ALS. Since then I have noticed atrophy on my ankle, side of my knee/ hamstring are & thenar area all on the same side. Keeping in mind this is my determining atrophy. No weakness other than middle of foot hurting of late and arch seems diminished on foot. Atrophy on foot is along outside, toes cracking a lot, can see tendons much more clearly than other foot & ankle appears different. I do have a slight drop foot as noted my a PM&R Dr. 6 years ago, not sure if that would cause this... My question is, as I have just noticed the atrophy and am wondering if
1. does atrophy show up in 3 diff places at the same time with no weakness?
2. if atrophy were going on would have the EMG picked it up 30 days ago?
I am trying to not over react as I was cleared, but this newly discovered stuff has me concerned. Thank you for your input in advance & for all you do in providing this sounding board.
