Hi everyone, haven't been on here for a few months but I find myself again trying to find some answers

About 6 months ago I found myself experiencing fasciculations, painful joints etc, managed to work myself to a complete panic mode and over the last few months l have had to see various Neurologists to get reassurance. I have also had the good folk on here give me valuable advice.

Fast forward to now, I have been experiencing very painful left elbow joint with pain travelling up and down arms and shoulders, don't know why but I am convinced my left arm is slightly different to my dominant right, find that also it's weak. I had a EMG in April which was normal and I was diagnosed with BFS.

Now a quick question please: would anything have been picked up that could cause issues now? I mean the last consultant l saw was last month, he gave a quick examination and said it's normal.

I will also have to admit that I suffer from anxiety and I know this can take over my life, could it be I'm just working myself into a frenzy!!

I apologise in advance for again bringing up my anxiety disorder.

Mark

Hello Mark, I'm not sure that I can tell you anything that's going to make you feel better after getting a normal EMG result, But here goes. I've been living with ALS for some time, joint pain was never an issue for me, and I am not aware of it being a system of ALS. If you continue to be concerned, you may wish to get the of opinion of a neurologist that specializes in ALS. Certainly sounds to me like something else is going on.

Good luck and God bless,

Tom

Mark,

While the members here do understand what it's like to have concern about one's health, it is not appropriate to continue posting here. You have been asked to stop posting here in the past. You have been asked to seek proper medical help. So far, this has not happened.

Each time you have started a new thread, people have taken the time to answer you. At this point it is very important to understand how much effort it takes for many people to type, to scroll down and to access your considerable posting history. Along with the time spent carefully reading your words, people have also kindly attempted to let you know an ALS forum is not the place for you. Each time people have sought to reassure you, you ignore their words and continue to ask questions. Can you tell me if your admitted health anxiety is an appropriate reason to negate and dismiss the many answers you have received here? Can you tell me why you seek reassurance here if you can't accept the reassurance from real medical doctors? From actual neurological specialists?

Your presence here feeds your anxiety. Please understand there are people here who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and you are asking these people to reassure you and help you work through health anxiety. I am NOT dismissing your symptoms. I am NOT telling you you have no cause for worry. I AM telling you an ALS forum is not the place for you. This is a good thing.
