Hello people. My name is Eric, I'm 21 years old, I'm from Russia. Please sorry for my English.
I admire with what courage, cheerfulness and openness you discuss this desease.
I would like to share the problem. I hope there will be people who will be able to clarify the situation worrisome me.
I, probably, a hypochondriac, I admit. Two years ago, during a heavy stress, I feel spontaneous move in the thumb on my left hand. With the increase of anxiety, twitches become general (legs, arms, shoulders, buttocks, abdomen and sometimes the tongue). But the favorite places of "fasciculations" are the muscle of the thumb and calf. A year later, I'm sick of it and I visited neurologist with these twitchings. She submited me to the EMG. On the first EMG a single myopathic patterns in the muscles of legs and arms, a slight increase in average and maximum amplitudes was founded . A month later, I turned to another specialist who said that after investigation did not find any pathology. Almost a year later, I repeat EMG, as twitching did not stop and started to twitch language. According to the results of the third EMG, 1 out of 4 muscles found spontaneous activity (deltoid muscle of the left hand (3 fasciculations, 1 fibrillation and 1 sharp wave),in the rest are just a few myopathic patterns (less than it was before) was founded, motor unit parameters almost standards within. I decided to go back EMG because I was concerned about. Spontaneous activity was not detected, but there is an increased amplitude of the individual motor units. I have handed over analyzes of a blood on hormones, subclinical hypothyroidism was founded. Now twitchings is enough going on and I think that in some muscles I appear atrophy (see. photo). What do you think? I'm exaggerating or should go back to the neurologist?
Thank you! Sorry for my english.
