Should these symptoms warrant me to take an EMG?

Hi, I'm new and this is my first post. I'm a 22 year old male who has some interesting symptoms. A little over a week ago I developed twitching in my feet. It goes from a light very fast twitching that can't be seen and sometimes tickles to a twitch that can be seen. But the twitching has been going on for over a week. Also the twitching has moved to my legs and thighs. This new twitching in my calls and thighs happens slightly less than my feet. I also have a few occasional pot shot twitches in my arms and stomach. I've no weakness or other symptoms besides twitching. So should I pay the large sum of money get an EMG to rule out ALS for the cause of symptoms?

No. read the sticky for our opinion on twitching without clinical weakness

I believe I read that some patients experienced twitching without weakness at first.

At the top of the do I have ALS forum there is a post titled read before posting. It's highlighted in yellow. That's the sticky. It should really reassure you that you don't have to worry about having ALS
