Hi
Is a normal report of ncv and abnormal emg a sign of ALS
Response will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

It is consistent, but it would depend on the specifics of the EMG and clinical history/signs/symptoms. Can you post these?

Best,
Laurie

The emg says l5 S1 radioculopathy and increased polyphasic motor neurons..I have hyperreflexia and stiffness pain in both legs and muscle atrophy in one leg

"Increased polyphasic motor neurons" should have further notes/numbers behind it. But your sx are also consistent w/ the radiculopathy noted. If you have no weakness, things don't seem worrisome. What is the action plan?

I do have clinical weakness..I am referred to university of Miami..have an appointment in august
