I am trying to work through this new found obsession with ALS. I think lack of education is the culprit. I've been doing better, but I recently started coming down with severe congestion, have a nasally voice, and my nose has been running like a faucet. I know congestion/nasally voice are something that plague bulbar patients (From what I've read, atleast, that's what I've seen) I'm trying to put this fear behind me, and leave you all alone to help those people affected by ALS.

Can you explain to me, for my knowledge and peace of mind, why ALS patients may experience chronic congestion, nasally voice, and runny nose? Please... I tried to find this answer in the stickies, so I wouldn't have to bother you all anymore, but couldn't find it...
