Well I finally have the urge to post here I'm 26 years old and it all started back in February 2015 with body wide fasculations and it's been down hill from there. I've read the stickies so many times I know the twitching is really meaningless but I'm worried about the unrelenting fatigue. Like just holding a cup of coffee for just a few seconds and it's my arm gets really weak and tired both arms are like that and my neck is the same way it feels really weak and sore all the time and I have bad headaches all the time I presume it's caused by the weak neck i don't know. I've had batteries of test with nothing turning up I had a limb emg on one side which the neurologist said was normal I'm scared because my issues are mostly in my neck and arms is this it? My head is always jerking and tremoring and it just keeps getting weaker should I see a ALS specialist

My symptoms are just like Kevin o donnel on YouTube the numb feeling in my arm and the pain in shoulders and neck like right now my right arm has that tight numb feeling

The limb EMG would pick up a neck problem.
Your neurologist would have noticed a neck problem.
You already know that the tired feeling in your hand is not ALS.
You don't need an ALS specialist. You need mental health help. That's not an insult. It's a recommendation.

Thank you for the response mike

I just thought body wide twitching accompanied by weakness was bad

Hon please read the sticky.

ALS does NOT present with pain, cramps, or fatigue. In ALS, you feel perfectly normal but your muscles simply won't work. Typically, the first sign of ALS is a foot or a hand that inexplicably just won't lift up. It doesn't hurt or feel weak, it just is limp. That is paralysis.

Thanks for the response affected what about the stiff neck and throat though it's almost like it's in a constant spasm and it's making my speech difficult

Never have I known ALS to present with a stiff neck and throat.

My husband died from bulbar onset ALS, I know it pretty well as I also support many PALS past and present locally so work with them in the flesh.

You have ZERO ALS symptoms, no matter that you believe you do.

I'm sorry you are so scared, please get to your doctor and keep insisting on all you say here so that they can help you get to the bottom of your issues. If it is purely physical they will find the problem and solve it, if it is a mental health problem they will solve this too. All the best, I'm afraid we can't help any further.

I would look into PT/massage. Your PCP can refer you. Sometimes when you focus on certain muscles mentally, they feel better with a reset physically. But yes, very fortunately, you're in the wrong place here.

Best,
Laurie

Thank you both so very much I'm sorry to hear about your husband tille..... He's in a much better place than this what scared me more was that one member here I think his name was tripete or something like that complained of a fatigued weak neck

I'm starting to talk out of my nose and I keep choking on phlegm... this is so scary

Hon STOP

We are dealing with the reality of a terminal illness and have no more resources to offer you. Go to a doctor again, only a doctor can diagnose and help you with anything. I don't mean to be rude to you, but you have pushed beyond the boundaries now.

Ok tillie I'm really sorry..

Ok last question and you guys can close the thread or whatever you want to do. My shoulders have been getting stiffer everyday and I'm noticing twitching in the shoulders very frequently and when pick things up especially on the left side my hand tremors and it doesn't take much at all to fatigue my arms out. You guys still think it's not ALS

Also just holding my phone my arm is in pain and cramping
