Hello, sorry to bother you with my question. But I am really concerned because of my symptoms. Do I have to be? Last year september I was having muscle stiffness/little pain in my left arm which I couldn't explain. So I went to a physiotherapist. After a while they diagnosed it with frozen shoulder, because I couldn't lift my arm anymore and experienced twitches in my arm muscle. I accepted this and left it like that. Now for a few weeks I had eyelid twitches first and a dropfoot at the right. And after a few days I had twitches in my arms and legs and back and shoulders. And noticed balance problems and dizziness. Like the world is spinning around me. My foot is getting worse and so are the twitches. I went to the doctor because of this and he send me to the Neuro the same day. They did some bloodtest and he saw the fasciculations on my shoulder that time. I am getting an EMG over 2 weeks. Should I be bothered? . Thanks in forward for you taking the time!

Frozen shoulder in September 14? How is it now? It would an odd presentation for ALS and if it were ALS would expect it to be much worse by now.

As we have said in the sticky twitches are non specific. Dropfoot is also non specific but could be an early sign. Dizziness is not a symptom. ALS balance issues result from weakness that is pretty obvious

Lynn, I'd be concerned about the dropfoot only. Don't worry about ALS, there are lots of other conditions that cause dropfoot. See your doctor and get this fixed.

My arm is very weak and shoulder totally locked! But I am very glad with these answers! I am much more relaxed right now! My respect is for you! Thank you both I really appreciate your helping! Respect for you!

Get physical therapy for your frozen shoulder. It takes months to resolve even with it, but in your case, it would probably help. And having a physio monitor your other symptoms and try to address what is possible is a good idea.

No expert here but this could be parkinsons disease.

Coke honey, as you don't have ALS you need to restrict your posting to your own DIHALS threads and stay off all other threads. This is very clear in the sticky at the top of this forum.
I know you mean well and want to help and that is appreciated, but it's important.

ThAnks Coke, I have to be patiënt and wait for teusday. My feet is getting worse, cant lift my toes anymore. My feeling is no good! :(

Hello, I had my EMG yesterday and today I've been told that it was not good in my left hand and also in my right foot. They send my to an ALS specialist hospital. Strange feeling and try to stay relaxed, don't know what to think... . My hand started to do strange at last sunday. (When I bow my hand its like a robot hand and the movement is not fluid). Having a lot of trouble with walking.

Sorry to hear this. Hope you get your next appointment quickly. " not good" encompasses many things of course so hope the specialists will have a different interpetation

Thank you Nikki, still hope its something else! But deep down in my hart I think I know, but still open voor a wonder! I am a very optimistic celebrating life person by nature. Respect for you!

I am waiting for a appointment and in the meanwhile i am looking for another explanation. Is it a als symptom to have nerve pain? Like your leg feels if it isn't getting any blood? Especially when is sit in a chair. And when you press the nerves its tingeling under my feet. Also have needlepin feeling sometimes in my leg?

No Lynn definitely NOT an ALS symptom.

Thank you, That is good to know! Best whiches!
