After my first clinical exam, and we asked the question want is the diagnoses. The Neuromuscular doctor said ALS. She ordered an EMG, Blood work and brain MRI. All blood work and brain MRI were negative. The EMG did not come back negative. In visit summary they changed the diagnoses to Myopathy and B12 deficiency. On the EMG report, it stated,: No evidence of a widespread disorder of anterior horn cells
as would be seen in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). No
fasciculations potentials are detected except in the abductor
digiti minimi muscle and paraspinal muscles show no
abnormalities. However, incomplete motor unit activation in
almost all muscles examined is likely related to a central
disorder of motor control.

That seems pretty clear to me: no ALS. Lucky you!

And since this site is all about ALS, good luck and have a long life!

Since you're still here, manzagol2000, perhaps you're looking for a second opinion.

Greg wrapped it up well. The EMG didn't say ALS, so your problem must be elsewhere.
