I am an 18 year old guy and my grandpa passed away due to als 2 years ago and for the past few months I've been popping my wrist and fingers alot. And everytime I popped my wrist and fingers it gave my hand this wierd feeling. I haven't really had any other probmlems but I was wondering if this could be a sign of als. Or am I just being paranoid?

No problem, IPM. You don't have ALS. ALS doesn't feel weird. Popping joints and weird feelings are not signs of ALS.

If, someday, you cannot physically lift your hand or foot at all, not even an inch, and there's no apparent reason--and no associated feeling, no fatigue or feeling or weakness--then mention it to your doctor.

Plus, if you got ALS at 18, it would probably set a world record. ALS is an old person's disease.

Ditto everything Atsugi said. And read the stickies at the top of this subforum.

Here's an idea: stop popping your wrist and fingers.
