Hi, My mother is not well since few months and her age is 50years.
We have given Blood test,Brain Test and EMG. Please find below the summary and suggest us on how to proceed. Thanks.
EMG Report Summary :
Summary: Motor NCs revealed normal distal latencies and reduced CMAP's in the all the tested nerves except tibial nerves. Erb's point simulation reduced CMAP's in all the tested proximal muscles. Sensory Ncs revealed normal DL's, CMAP's, SNAP's, CV's & F-Waves
Impression: ASYMMERTIC MOTOR AXONOPATHY. EMG S/O ACTIVE DENERVATION,CHRONIC DENERVATION INVOLVING CERVICAL & LUMBOSACRAL MYOTOMOES
Brain Test Summary(MRI) :
Findings:
A few foci of long TR hyperintensities are seen in anterior deep white matter- small vessel ischemic changes.
Rest of the brain parenchyma is of normal signal intensity and morphology.
The basal ganglia,thalami,brainstem and cerebellar hemispheres are normal.
The ventricular system is within normal limits
The sella and pituitary are normal.
The major intracranial vessels and CV junction are normal.
Right maxillary sinusitis.
Visualised MRI cervical spine appears normal.
Impression:
50 year old with h/o progressive spastic quadriparesis
"No significant abnormality. No e/o white matter disease.
Please suggest us..Thanks all for your help.
