Hi There,

First off want to say I respect and feel for everybody that is going, or knows somebody that is going through ALS.

I've had some odd symptoms over the years, but the last couple of months, I have had pain in my right hand (between the thumb and index finger), my forearm, and them down my right calf into the outside of my right foot. Just yesterday, I got the same pain between my thumb and index finger on the left side now. By pain, it's more-so of a tightness. It feels like the muscle is constantly flexed. Outside of that, I also get random twitches in my right calf, foot, and sometimes tricep, usually a handful of times throughout a day.

Any insight into these symptoms is greatly appreciated, and I thank you for your time reading this!

Pain points away from ALS. ALS is a disease of the motor nerves, not the sensory nerves. No pain until much later in the process.

Twitches generally mean nothing, as they are quite common. Look for common causes--Rx meds, stress, caffeine, fatigue, etc.
