Dear members, I hope I'm not annoying anyone by asking possibly quite similar things that other people have asked before, and I certainly don't want to waste anyone's time. I have read the stickies as I've been having some worrying symptoms, but I do have a follow-up question:
I have had some trouble with my right shoulder, arm and hand for about 2 months. Lifting my arm out of the shoulder joint is becoming increasingly difficult and it feels very sore. My doc suspected carpal tunnel, but this as since been ruled out at an EMG exam. I have read here that pain is not associated with ALS, so I assume a weakness of the arm would not manifest in soreness? As I am typing the muscles in my upper arm are again getting very tight and sore. The only reason I am writing now is that the back of my right shoulder has also started twitching non-stop, it is visible and I can feel it all day. Prior to that I've been having - also constant - fascilulations in the soles of both my feet, sometimes some light cramps at the top. These have been going on for about 3 weeks.
Sorry to ramble, in summary my question is simply: Regardless of the twitching issues, does a sore arm indicate weakness? It is harder to hold this arm up longer than the other, but mainly because it is becoming painful to do so.
I would very much appreciate some advice, thanks a million in advance !
PS: I'm getting another EMG done (also feet) this afternoon
