Hello all. I appreciate you reading and responding to my post. Any and all info will be helpful to me. I am very very scared. About 2 years ago I had an onset of extreme anxiety out of the blue. This was followed up one week later with changes in vision. Felt like I had a film over my eye. I then developed muscle twitching. I went to the we where a ct scan and MRI was done of my head along with blood work all negative. I was sent home to follow up with my pcp. I was then referred to a neurologist where a neuro exam was completed. By this time I had noticed sensations of weakness in right and leg.

Neuro wanted to check thyroid and review MRI. Results of testing and neuro ECM were negative. Also during this time extreme fatigue developed. I also has a lot of pain in arms and legs.

This led to emg being complete. Results were negative. Nerve conduction test was also completed and both were negative. I continued to have a heaviness in my right side. Arm and leg. Felt like drop foot however I could still lift my foot. Muscle pains continued.

Blood work for CPk was checked. Checked three times and one time out of the three. The middle time it was slightly elevated. I did have stronger than normal knee reflexes however neuro said it was ok because they were symmetrical.

I would have some good days and some
Bad however symptoms and fatigue continued. Felt like i was drooling out of right side of mouth. When I wiped my face it was not wet.

Another emg was completed 4 moths later as twitching and heaviness continued in right side. Neuro exam by an als specialist was negative. He also completed and emg and nerve conduction test and they were negative.

This neuro has no answers for me either.
Symptoms have continued at varying intensity levels but has never gone away.

This brings us to now. I have noticed this in the past but noticed it now that when I bring my thumb and pointer finger together in a circle there is a simple in the right hand and there is not in the left.
This is all very scary too me.
I am a 30 year old female that is very scared. Please help plleaseeee

sorry honey we can't help

we are dealing with a TERMINAL illness, many people here have to type by blinking their eyes

If you won't believe your doctors why would you believe us?

I will try - your symptoms are NOT ALS

Staying here will only increase your symptoms, go back to your doctor.

I won't reply to this thread further as that's my full 2 cents worth

>If you won't believe your doctors why would you believe us?

Ditto that!

>Staying here will only increase your symptoms, go back to your doctor.

or find another as > 1/2 are mnd/als quackerunies

>I won't reply to this thread further as that's my full 2 cents worth

Ditto that!

I am sorry if I offended anyone here by asking questions. I guess I was saying has anyone been told no and then told yes. That is why I was listing my symptoms out. If my post needs to go to a different board please also let me know.

Again. I appreciate any and all responses. And I apologize greatly if I offended anyone. I am sorry. Just scared.

>I guess I was saying has anyone been told no and then told yes.

sure, that is why I know many neuros are quackerinos. see your pcp, go to an mnd/als specialist clinic. don't **** around with terminal illnesses.

What does find another as mean. ?
I am sorry I am so very scared. I appreciate your response. I just don't know what that means or why you are saying I should go find another one.

Way to go, Max!

Max is suggesting you find another physician for another opinion but as read this you have seen your primary physician ,a general neurologist and an ALS specialist all of whom have told you not ALS. None of this sounds like ALS to me but the opinion of your physicians is what matters. Go to your primary for a reevaluation tell him/her you are afraid you have ALS and need help dealing with this. You say you have anxiety Try to address that as it is something you can fix.
Being here is going to make you more anxious. People who were origi ally told no are few and it rapidly becomes obvious that it is yes. You have had symptoms for 2 years. After 2 years you would not have to ask.
