I was here over a year ago [not that anyone remembers me] worried that I had ALS. This was the thread I made at the time:

Well, after seeing a neurologist, they excluded ALS. So if anyone comes here with the same symptoms I had, you can breathe a little easier knowing that there is a good chance that you do NOT have ALS. Just like most people on here tell you.
Unfortunately, my symptoms never went away and I even have new symptoms that have nothing to do with ALS. Doctors are looking into Mitochondrial Disease/dysfunction or some sort of Muscle enzyme problem... which doesn't make me happy at all and still makes me freak out.
^ I post that not to scare those who have symptoms that worry them. I'm posting that because the symptoms you feel could be very real and could be pointing to some other medical condition. Or it could be NOTHING at all. You won't know unless you go to the doctor. Looking things up online won't do anything. I never even heard of this Mitochondrial disease until couple of weeks ago when my doctor brought it up.
