question about muscle wasting

good morming i was wondering what als muscle wasting looks like and whether it is dents like mentioned in the last post or if it is a total shrinkage of the muscle.I ve got dents on the the fatty part of my hand under my thumb on both hands along with on the sides as well symmetrical. on both sides.How does it present itself.thx in advance.

Think of starving pows from WWII, I can't speak for everyone but when your muscles waste away you'll know it, flippen forget about dents etc..

When the muscles in my hands went--there was no doubt. My students can recognize it--believe me, if there is major wasting in a muscle group--you'd be able to tell--with no medical knowledge at all.
