I believe it was Wright who asked me if my husband had all four limbs needled or just his arms. Only his arms were tested - and not his legs, even though they did do the NCV (where they shock you) on all four.

So I have a feeling he will be doing this again (with someone new) and wondered if that is the norm - to only test the extremity that is effected and the opposite extremity that may or may not be affected.

Our next appt is next Friday BTW.

Typically where they needle is determined by the clinical exam and the history of the patient. The findings of the EMG (and clinical exam and continued history of the patient) will determine if another EMG is warranted and how that EMG will be conducted.
