MY MOM WA SDNG WITH ALS IN AUG2010 AND SHE NOW HAS A TRACH GOT IT IN NOV2010 SHE STILL BREATHING ON HER OWN THE VENT IS HELPING HER VERY LIL SHE NOW CAN MOVE HER FEET VERY LIL BEFORE THE TRACH SHE COULD NOT. ALL THE TTWITCHING AS STOPED. if we deflate the bubble she can still talk. we sit her up on the bed she has no balance but we hold her and she holds her head up still and fixs her shoulder to have good poster Is this normal for als patients? some of the nurse we have with home health said she was miss dng.. all her twitching has stoped since the trache.
