I am having a hard time with my s's and some other words/letters, i have had to start saying at work jokingly i have a speech impetement or sometimes i will joke with patients and say I sware i am not drunk! Its not all words just some. I have started to inhale my saliva more, it used to be only when i slept with my head tilted back, but then progressed to talking and breathing in at the same time and once in a great while it is out of the blue, and i start hacking which only makes my co worker think i have asthma even more, which i dont! I have a hard time swallowing certain things in the neck region but when i eat i naturally tilt my head down, it somehow helps. I told my neuro i did not have a choking problem because its not the palate part that trips me up, it just feels like my food gets stuck sometimes or that it is really dry. I thought that swallowing problems started with liquids and in the palate region when it came to ALS or PBD. Is this true? Sam
