Question Had EMG; Have Questions

I had EMG/NCS done today. The NCS showed carpel tunnel. No abnormalities on EMG. The neuro stuck one needle in each calf, foot, forearm and hand. Is that thorough enough?

My neuro says no ALS right now, but of course he cannot predict the future. His suggestion to me was to go to a reputable facility (he mentioned Mayo) and have a complete diagnostic work-up done. Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions?

Amye

symptoms: "numbness"/paresthesia down complete right side and some on the left, fasciculations, head tremor, involuntary head movement (myoclonic jerk?), and various muscle and joint pain.

The doctor did enough tests to rule out ALS. I am happy for you! You have something going on but it is not ALS.

So glad it is not ALS. Sounds like a good idea to go to MAYO to try to get your questions answered. So happy for you that you do not have to worry about ALS. I wish you well.
