Haven't posted in over a month. Just wanted to say, finally saw the neuro-muscular specialist, he conducted a nerve conduction and emg and clinical stuff...and it turns out I do not have MND.
I've had atrophy, weakness, fascic's, spasticity, over-active reflexes, swallowing difficulties, etc. But the neuro said absolutely NOT MND.
and to be honest, I gave up caring about a month ago anyway, so.
So if it's any consolation to anyone out there worrying about this disease, I was in the same boat, and it turns out I'm good
He did agree with the previous doctor that it's abnormal that I'm clearly weaker on my right side - so he told me to get an ultrasound, muscle biopsy and x-ray on that arm/leg, and go from there. But it's NOT mnd.
I'm going to tell everyone I know (well, I already have, actually...) about how horrible this disease is. I'm praying that something comes along to slow or solve this monster. With all my heart and soul.
