Need Advice on a mobile chair

My hubby can't walk do to weakness and breathing....he's been using a wheelchair...but we need a more stable one..that supports his head......any advice is very much appreciated!!

I think he needs to be evaluated by an OT and they will help you work out what his wheelchair needs are and I think your doctor can then write the prescription.

A powered chair is going to be really important for him.
 
In the meantime, if he doesn't have a head rest on the manual chair, you might try a soft cervical collar and/or a chest harness. Even a basic elastic strap around his chest/shoulders (without putting pressure on the shoulder joint) the chair might help.

The ALSA, DME or clinic in your area may have a loaner power chair. I think Chally previously posted his recommendation for a wheelchair source in WV.
