I'm embedding the video here to help CALS and PALS that my be a little fearful of using an electric hoist.
They are all a bit different and slings attach differently, so you need to be trained to use your particular hoist correctly.
We made a huge mistake in this video and I always wished I'd been able to do a new one, and one showing how to get the sling under Chris in the wheelchair or bed as at the time of this video he was doing standing transfers.
The mistake was that his daughter had yet again been using his equipment. She had been in his recliner chair and had not returned it to standing position. I didn't realise until the last minute as I just expected it to be ready ...
