frustrated and heartbroken

Its been a while since I last posted. My son has declined quickly and refuses any nutrition through his Peg. The only thing he will let me give him is a bit of water to flush it after taking his meds through it. Family says I should just give him the nutritional supplements anyway but that isn't what he wants and he understands what will happen. They keep saying he is giving up and that I can't let him. How can you give someone the will to live? Do they think that I want my son to die? Don't they think that I don't want him to give up? Its so frustrating and heartbreaking.

I am so sorry you have come to this time and place. I don't have as much expierience as some others. The way I see it is this is the pals call. It is about them not us and if your son is of sound mind my opinion is to just be as supportive of his decisions as you can. It sounds like it is time to call hospice to help you both on your way. Best to you both.
