Last week my MIL has her clinic appointment and her breathing was down to 58%. They said probably by her next visit it may be down to 50 and that is the cut off line for starting the use of a Bipap. Her numbers have been going down around 10-12 % between visits. My question is when she starts using this is it only at night or is this something she will have to use all the time? Also does this help to only a certain % or what is in store for her after the Bipap? She don't ask questions and I am not sure. I wasn't able to go with her this time and her daughter didn't ask. Any insite would be great. Josie

She will know how much is necessary. Usually everyone starts off by using it only at night. Then it progresses from there. If she is short of breath during the day it is a good idea to use it, as I say, she will know.

Thank you for your quick reply. I wasn't sure what to expect. Take care, Josie
