Alternatives to "Walk to Defeat ALS"

Five minutes after getting my diagnosis, I was handed an ALSA folder with a big "Walk to Defeat ALS" image on the front. My symptoms are starting in my legs and my walking is suffering; I already can't run anymore. I cannot walk long distances. So I was not amused.

I would like to be amused. So here's my challenge: Help me think of alternative fundraising ideas, using the same format. If we get a great one, I'll maybe even organize a local event in Austin, with teams to sponsor and everything. I'll start with a few ideas:

Bake Sale to Defeat ALS
Pop Wheelies to Defeat ALS (wheelchairs, of course)
Sit Around and Drink Beer to Defeat ALS
Competitive Crazy Straws to Defeat ALS (speed sucking)

I would like to sign up for your Sit around and Drink Beer event.

My family is doing the Walk. The ALSA has been quite supportive to us. They are delivering a scooter to me this week so I can walk my dog and join my family on walks. I so miss hiking/running/walking but at least the scooter gives me more freedom.
