There is a hysterical satirical newspaper on the web called The Onion.

It is completely irreverent and nothing is sacred. Brilliant stuff.

I won't post any links as they often use colourful language and some may be offended by the subject matter.

But if your dark side needs a chuckle - this is the place to go.

One of the stories which resonates with me is called:
Loved Ones Recall Local Man's Cowardly Battle With Cancer

Whenever one reads a death notice for someone who suffered from a terminal illness, invariably the words "courageous battle " will be included. I do think we are all heroes. However, I sometimes wonder what it would be like if I lost my brave face. Well - this story answers that. It is somewhat cathartic.

Here are headlines from some other great stories you can search for in the archives:

*SNORT* hehehehe! Thanks for the chuckles!

thanks for the story started my day with a chuckle.

The Onion has been one of my favourite sources of entertainment too.

LOL! I saw a shirt once that said " Marijuana... teaching American kids the metric system since 1932!"
Thought it was classic...
Thanks for the posts Richard.

Love the Onion --- give them the Pulitzer!
