Welcome to our forum, enjoy the tea and brownies.

I am thinking that I bragged way too soon about how great the winter has been and it is like spring here. We got about a foot of snow over the weekend and now there is a storm warning out for tomorrow night into thursday for another 10" or so. That will teach me to brag about our weather.

Dana

Good Morning, all! Haven't been able to catch up on the posts, but I wanted to wish you all a great day!

We had an eventful weekend in that we had our first significant fall....a heavy faceplant right into the cement garage floor. Lots of blood and splits on forehead, nose and eye. I got the bleeding to stop (had a first aid class just last Tuesday) and got him cleaned up relatively quickly and we just laid low the rest of the weekend. Yesterday, when we went to the ALS clinic, everyone who walked in the room and looked at his sweet face was greeted with the "Dave" voice from his iPad that stated either "Bar Room Brawl....you should see the other guy!" "Bungie Jumping....don't ask." or "I sure won't be making HER mad, again!" At least he still has his sense of humor!

Happy day, all!

Good morning! So great to hear Al is feeling better. Karen made me great scrambled eggs. I couldn't eat many but tasted wonderful. Doug is on his way to Tampa. Sad to say goodbye to Karen. We have so much fun together. Headed back to Orlando later. She heads back to snow in Boston. I am so blessed!

lovedbygoldens...I think you might have to post a couple time on another thread for you to be able to contact Dorothy. Our posts don't count anymore on 'off-topic' threads. But do come back, and post here as well...we always enjoy a new tea member

Dorothy...hope you are sleeping now too.

Cubcake, sounds like a nasty fall but at least you both have a sense of humor about it.

I will take brownies, whether they give me calories or not! Its my favorite!

I know is it is kind of early for MIA of trfogey...but usually he would have posted along with me in the DIHALS section by now with some newbies there. Anyone heard from him?

My whole left side feels funky today...don't even know how to describe it...kind of tight and tingly...feels like I am trying to move everything through sand. I hope I didn't mess something up from yesterday's fall. Hmmm..oh well. I think I will get some hot chocolate and ignore it for now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Waving hello to everyone reading through the thread~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is my birthday and I am hexed I think. We are taking our first holiday in several years and will be driving from Vancouver down to Palm Springs in a few days. I am pasty white so I used some Olay natural tanning stuff last night. I appear to have orange legs today! I read all the reviews and most people loved the stuff. I guess I will carry on with another application and see if it starts looking tan instead of orange? Next I put in a load of laundry in my front loader washing machine and put in way too much detergent. Machine was shaking and going through a million rinse cycles. I quickly g o o g l e d and someone said stop the machine and add a cup of vinegar--and then start the machine again. So far so good and the suds seem to be dying off. I am heading off for a birthday lunch with a girlfriend and hope to get home before the late season snow storm arrives. Oh dear I just looked at my arms and they are orange too. I look like a pumpkin. My husband is laughing so you can guess how bad it looks!
Happy Birthday, Laurel! I'm certain that Orange is your color, so don't even worry about that.
Have a great day.
Oh Laurel...happy birthday first of all!
And secondly, the CA tan is overrated...I have lived here my whole life and more than ever now, people are opting for the non-tan look. You have to be careful with those self tanners as they say that some skin reacts differently...usually you should be putting it on a small area first to see if your skin reacts. I personally, wouldn't do another application but would try and wash it off instead.
