What the Hell is going on, across this world today
People paying for terminal illness, leaves me in dismay
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a terrible disease
It simply just attacks folk, takes away all their ease

Yet it seems in major countries right across the globe
Folk are paying for treatment, this surely needs a probe
Whatever happened to any man reaching out his hand
To help...

Painful Journey of Motor Neurone Disease

I have great difficulty with my breathing
And there is no chance of now relieving
I’ll end up wheel chair bound lifeless and still
My brain will still function and grant me will

As my eyes and hearing will function too
But I cannot do a single thing I wish to do
I will end up needing daily care yes indeed
And will sadly need a stomach tube to feed

My nerves are all closing...

About these suffering folk, their saddest plight
Help their campaign to really try and fight
In the hope that they’ll in time, put things right

Many of the folk die when they are not old
Leaving family and children left out in the cold
Wives and Husbands taken as sad as it seems
Without any possible further hope or dreams
