Hi everyone,
I just completed my first ALS Walkathon on Sept. 12th, at Eisenhower Park in New York.
I didn't realize how big these things were ! The support I received from my family, friends and co-workers just blew me away, not to mention the love and support from everyone else who attended. The rain held out, and we had an amazing day ! People could not believe I did the entire walk ( 3.5 miles ) with no help, except for my leg braces and my trusty cane. I was truley inspired, and I pushed my body to it's limits. If any of you attended, my team was Sparky's Penquins, and I was the fool wearing the Penquin hat. The only thing that upset me was, NO MEDIA COVERAGE ! There were thousands of people there, you would think at least the local News Media would say something about it. Oh, and thanks to everyone on this Forum. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this.

Bob
