Hi StaceyM,
I was wondering if you have been in touch with the ALS Society in your friend's area? They may be able to point you in the right direction. The people I found useful were the community care nurses out here in BC. They didn't provide me with caregiving for my mom but they seemed to know where to direct me whatever questions I had.
