Does anyone have any advice on this?
We've been told we were approved for a refi on the mortgage, but now the underwriter wants further proof besides the copy of the policy and the letter from the private disability company detailing monthly payments. Now they say the copy of the policy detailing how long benefits will be received is too generic.
Well, if my husband were employed all he would have to supply is his tax records and copy of maybe 3 months paychecks and maybe a letter from the employer. But they would never get a guarantee about how long he would continue to receive a paycheck or be employed! That is kinda what they are asking for! The policy clearly states he will receive benefits til he retires (according to federal standard retirement age) or til - well you know.
I've already got a letter from the disability company stating benefits will continue on and past 2012 due to total disability. I did not think that was necessary to submit to them. But now...do you think that will be enough to satisfy them? I know I wouldn't be able to get more than that out of the disability company, as it's really a ridiculous request. Afterall, they have that annoying continual request for medical proof of the disability.
I'm so sick of dealing with paperwork nightmares I could scream!!! And that is what my husband seems to be doing a lot of lately, only I can't understand him!!!:-x
